Ontario RV Sales - The recreational vehicle van comes mostly in two types of design: the Class C mini-motorhome and the Class B van conversion. The Class B van is just an upgraded van that features reclining seats, a fold-out bed, a sink, and usually a microwave oven. The class C types are more purposely constructed, with a camper mounted upon a 1-ton van chassis. This style still retains the van cab where both the driver and passenger sit. Both of these types are normally produced by aftermarket businesses who take the chassis from major car manufacturers and mold them to meet their needs.

The various classes of motorhomes allow those people who like camping a variety of alternatives to choose from to suit their requirements while still fitting within their budget. The biggest and most expensive type of motorhome available is the class A, that resembles a large passenger bus. A recreational vehicle van is much simpler to drive around and is usually less expensive then a class A, making it the preferred vehicle for many. Size wise. the dimensions of a class B motorhome are no bigger than that of a normal, everyday passenger van. A lot of people choose this kind as it is much less intimidating to drive than a class A motorhome.

The Class B style of van can feature an extended roof, which is one of the important features that differentiates a recreational vehicle from a passenger van. The roof extension is typically made of fiberglass and would give more space in the van improving the overall level of comfort while in the vehicle. To make the RV van more efficient, it is common to incorporate a generating unit as well as an air conditioner mounted on the roof. This prevents having to have the engine of the van idling. It is rather common for these kinds of RV vans to come equipped with a plug-in receptacle so that campground power could be used.

The class C type of RV is a combination of a passenger van with a pull-behind camping trailer. These styles are often larger compared to the class B-type camper and are mounted upon a van chassis. They are also outfitted with more features, like a shower or bath, commode and kitchen sink, a microwave oven, a refrigerator and a range. Several people favor these to the class B type because it allows for more comfort, both while parked at a campsite and while driving.
